Pest control insurance policies automatically provide essential cover for deep cleaning, fumigation and disinfection. It will also cover the use of birds of prey, rifles and shot guns whenever they are used to carry out pest and vermin control activities.

This product is suitable for people and businesses who wish to cover their liability to the public, whilst providing pest and vermin control services.
Public liability – designed to protect you against liability claims for injury caused to third parties or damage to their property as a result of your negligence.
The standard limit is £5 million; this can be extended to £10 million for an additional premium.
Please check your council or Forestry Commission contract as they may require a specific level of public liability.
Products liability – this provides cover for claims arising from products supplied by you during the course of your insured activities.
Public liability for the following activities:
Employers’ liability – where you have paid, voluntary or self-employed helpers working for you in connection with your pest control activities, it is a legal requirement that you have employers’ liability insurance. This will provide cover in the event of them being injured whilst working for you due to negligence.
The amount of cover provided is £10 million.
Please inform us if you have anybody who helps you on a voluntary basis.
Personal accident – by including personal accident cover under your policy, you will be provided with a weekly benefit of £200 payable for 104 weeks. This protects the insured party should they suffer an injury whilst carrying out your business activities.
This cover also includes a lump sum compensation for accidental death, permanent loss of sight and/or limbs and total disablement.
We are also able to include employees should they sustain an accidental injury whilst working for you. Specifically, this applies to situations in which you or the business has not been negligent.
Please note that this does not cover any pre-existing conditions or illness, or any injury sustained whilst commuting to or from work.
Breach of professional duty – provides indemnity against legal liability for compensation and costs and expenses which arise in connection with the business, and for claims arising from any breach of professional duty. Cover is provided as a direct result of any negligent act, negligent error or negligent omission.
Loss of money – provides your business with up to £10,000 coverage for the loss of money that belongs to your business or for which you are responsible. It also includes benefits for bodily injuries sustained by you or your employees due to robbery or attempted robbery that occurs during the course of business operations.
Loss of keys – £25,000 of cover is provided for the cost of replacing clients’ keys and locks, whilst in the care of you or an employee, following loss or theft of the keys.
Equipment cover – we are able to provide cover for damage and theft to the following where it is used in connection with your business:
Fidelity insurance – provides cover for the loss of money or property sustained as a direct result of acts of fraud, theft or dishonesty by an employee in the course of their employment.
Misuse of telephones – covers the legal liability to your customers for their financial loss incurred due to the unauthorised use of telephones by your employees. The limit of indemnity for this is £5,000.
Business interruption – business interruption provides you for loss of income following interference or interruption to your business which has been caused by damage to your business premises.
Goods in transit – this section provides cover for damage to property belonging to you (or the business) or held in trust for which you are responsible, whilst it is in transit within the United Kingdom. The limit of indemnity for this is £3,000.
